World Trade Center celebrates International Women’s Day with musical performance

Guests at Westfield World Trade Center were recently treated to the beautiful sound of Women’s “Fabulous Five” in honor of International Women’s Day.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey partnered with Westfield World Trade Center and Sing for Hope to celebrate International Women’s Day with Sing for Hope’s “Fabulous Five” ensemble featuring an all-female, all-star ensemble in a special performance. The five instrumentalists featured songs from well-known female musical artists including Adele, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Katy Perry, Pink, Bjork, Beyond, Taylor Swift, Sia, and much more.

Sing for Hope, a non-profit organization founded in New York City in response to the events of 9/11, partners with hundreds of community-based organizations, mobilizes thousands of artists in creative service, and produces artist-created Sing for Hope Pianos across the U.S. and around the world.

“It is always an honor to have the Sing for Hope artists perform at Westfield World Trade Center,” said Diana Grasso, Vice President Westfield World Trade Center.  “You can see people coming together and connecting as these talented musicians share their gift. We are thrilled we can offer these moments to our guests during their visit.”

Westfield World Trade Center next welcome Sing for Hope for a special St. Patrick’s Day performance on March 17, followed by other performances through the year. Check the Westfield World Trade Center website for the latest information.
