Modernized McDonald’s debuts at O’Hare T5

A modernized, first-of-its-kind McDonald’s restaurant has opened for business in the Terminal 5 Arrivals Level, brings convenience and technology to the forefront with the addition of new self-order kiosks, mobile order and payment, table service, charging stations and a fresh design.

Among the exciting new features offered at the revamped restaurant is mobile app pay feature, which allows customers to order and pay from their own device.

The restaurant is 100% owned and operated by local Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) partner MYD Holdings. With the upgraded offering, MYD has increased the number of seats at the fast food outlet to 60 and boosted the crew size by 35%.

CDA Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee (third from left) is joined URW, MYD Holdings and McDonald’s to celebrate the grand re-opening of the restaurant.

Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee said: “This is an important location at O’Hare, where international travellers are first greeted by family and loved ones as they arrive in Chicago. We’re proud it’s a 100%, ACDBE-owned and operated restaurant that offers a full-service experience and first-rate customer service.”

URW Vice President and Asset Lead Brian Petrow said: “Modern, convenient and efficient are the hallmarks of a great experience, and this new McDonald’s hits all three. We’re working with the CDA to continually evolve the experience and elevate the offerings at Terminal 5.”
