URW showcases upcoming opportunities at JFK NTO Community Outreach Event

New $9.5 billion landmark international terminal aims to set a new standard in customer experience and local small business participation

As part of the new $9.5 billion New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), URW is looking to partner with local, minority-owned businesses for upcoming construction and concessions opportunities.

On October 10, 2023, URW participated in a session hosted by the JFK New Terminal One team to provide local businesses and individuals with information about the world-class new concessions program coming to the New Terminal One, including opportunities in retail, Food & Beverage, architecture, engineering, construction, and professional services. Attendees had an opportunity to get a preview of what's ahead and learn about the types of opportunities and how to participate.

In 2022, URW joined the New Terminal One (NTO) team, responsible for overseeing commercial development and management of the landmark new terminal. The New Terminal One will reimagine the customer experience at JFK while creating opportunities for local, minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE) and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses (SDVOB).

NTO will serve as a global gateway to the New York metropolitan area and set a new standard for world-class design and service, aspiring to be among the top ten airport terminals in the world.

NTO will be a 23-gate, state-of-the-art terminal. Sustainably designed and future focused, the terminal will feature expansive, naturally lit, public spaces, cutting edge technology, and an array of amenities, all designed to enhance the customer experience and compete with some of the highest-rated airport terminals in the world. With more than 300,000 square feet of dining, retail, lounges, and recreational space, NTO will offer passengers a uniquely New York sense of place, with a Queens flavor.
