Spending the Day in the Community

Chicago O'Hare International and Westfield Old Orchard teams volunteer at Center on Halsted

Getting to spend the day out in the community is one of the most fulfilling days for our teams. Our team members from Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Westfield Old Orchard came together to volunteer at Center on Halsted.

It was a busy day spent washing and sanitizing the center’s furniture, toys, conference rooms and windows plus pulling weeds. They also had a chance to take a tour of the center, learn about its mission and the amazing work the center is doing for the LGTBQ+ community in Chicago.

We are proud to support the Center on Halsted during Community Day and throughout the year. It is the Midwest's most comprehensive community center dedicated to advancing community and securing the health and well-being of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) people of Chicagoland. More than 1,000 community members visit the Center every day, located in the heart of Chicago's Lakeview Neighborhood.

During our annual URW Community Days, a host of activities take place all around the world.  Teams roll up their sleeves and contribute to the needs of their neighboring associations and charitable organizations.

With a global portfolio of premier consumer destinations–including airports, transit, and shopping centers—URW is uniquely positioned to help showcase brands at their best and connect local communities and organizations to our programs.
