Getting to the heart of the community

Chicago O'Hare team participates at job fair, networks at AMAC luncheon

Being a contributing member of the communities where we operate and the industry at large is at the heart of what we do. From engaging at our local job fair to networking at our local Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) event, our teams do it all.

Our URW team at Chicago O’Hare International Airport began their day interacting with job seekers and concessionaires at the Chicago Department of Aviation’s third annual Airport Expo and Job Fair. The fair connected job seekers, contractors, and small business owners with opportunities at O’Hare and Midway International Airports. The event also included on-site hiring, networking with industry leaders and learning best practices for getting into the airport.

That afternoon the team attended the Airport Minority Advisory Council - Chicago Chapter Why AMAC? Luncheon where they heard from industry leaders including Eboni Wimbush, Cortez A. Carter, IAP and Brown Sugar Bakery’s own Stephanie Hart. The event also included an AMAC national leadership presentation, a Chicago chapter outlook, and Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) panel discussion.

Our involvement in the community whether introducing people to airport opportunities or networking with industry leaders is one of the best parts of being closely connected to our communities.
