Duty Free Joint Venture Partner brings experience beyond airports 

Former New York State Senator partners with Duty Free Americas at JFK’s New Terminal One 

The joint venture partners, helping to create a world-class commercial program at the New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport, bring a variety of skillsets and experiences. 

Before Carl Andrews, President and CEO of New York-based C&E Global Solutions, inked a deal with Duty Free Americas to be a joint venture partner in one of the biggest duty-free programs, he spent his career in politics, serving as a New York State Senator from Brooklyn. Carl is now on board to help create nearly 20,000 square feet of duty-free shopping featuring iconic global brands alongside New York City and Queens-based artisanal products.  

Leveraging skills, expertise, and a deep network developed across decades in City and State politics, Carl advises local product makers to think strategically about their products and price points before engaging with airport operators. New Terminal One has the unique ability to offer a captive audience of international travelers interested in purchasing goods and could be a successful fit for many entrepreneurs.  

Carl is excited by the opportunity to work in the duty-free space, especially in the New Terminal One, a fully international terminal catering to sophisticated travelers.
