Reinventing the Travel Experience

“Best Food & Beverage Program”

— Airports Council International-North America, 2017
The 2016 redevelopment of Terminal 6 represents a 22,000-square-foot transformation that unified three disparate buildings built over four decades. The new Terminal 6 mirrors a drive along Los Angeles’ iconic Sunset Boulevard, with a cohesive collection of districts each with their own unique distinct feel. From DTLA to the beach, T6 offers a distinct sense of place, premier dining and retail, and local brands.

Using existing terminal components, like winding hallways and varying elevations, the enhanced guest experience mirrors a drive along Sunset Boulevard. The redevelopment includes the new retail and dining collection and more than 5,000 square feet of improvements to common areas.

The transformation was made possible through a $70.5 million total investment from LAWA, URW, and operating partners. URW’s on-site design, construction, and tenant coordination team worked together with their project partners to complete the 20-month redevelopment ahead of schedule and under budget.
